A-S Davik's Nail Armour
I saw this style style post on Stil in Berlin with a girl wearing a piece of jewelry I have never seen before. It is a silver monogrammed nail plate by Swedish designer Anna-Sara Davik. You can even buy a full set for each finger which I think is a bit weird. I prefer the solitary nail plate.

Eyajafjallajokull!
Inspired by nature, Iceland's E-label has created an Eyajafjallajokull printed dress! I knew this was coming! The images of the volcano are amazing.
This piece is very Christopher Kane and his atomic bomb printed dress from last season.
Not sure when we can buy this dress yet, I will keep you updated.

Soft Army
This is such a soft and minimal interpretation of the military look. It is so simple, natural and feminine and not at all harsh like the army look can be. I found this in the Italian mag Amica, it is the first time I am reading it and I actually found that most of the spreads were simple and feminine, it was so refreshing. I think I will be buying this again.

The Outnet's £1 Sale creates customer fury
7:24am: Email received by the Outnet saying sale in now open. I have just woken up and am on the way to work, don't have time to check yet.
8:45am: Logged in to the Outnet at work to browse items but the page will not load.
9:00am: After several attempts I am browsing the items very very slowly, with many error messages.
9:05am: After browsing the page of sold out items I find an Alexander Wang top still standing and try to click and buy it.
10:00am: Frustrated by reloading the page every 2 seconds for the past hour, I find out this item is actually sold out.
10:01am: Browse more items that look available.
10:20am: Give up, there is nothing left and it is too slow to keep going.
11:59am: Read The Guardian's accounts of the morning "Outnet sale outrage as website crashes". People are not very happy at all.
I love the Outnet and although most items were already sold out by the time I got to it, I would have liked to have been put out of my misery sooner. It was very frustrating to reload the page or get kicked out every couple seconds, not a fun experience at all. This sale was advertised all over the place for months! There was so much excitement around it and I'm sure they knew that millions of people were on their mark and ready to log in today, next time I hope they sort out the server issues!
Too bad, it was such a great idea. Someone actually got a Chloe bag worth £1695 for £1!! Who are you lucky girl?!

Tilda is the Coolest Chick Around
I love Tilda Swinton. She brings a raw artsy feel to the movies she stars in, and her unconventional beauty is mesmerizing . She will be on the cover of Dazed and Confused in the May issue, with two covers to collect, I love this one. I can't wait to see her new Italian language movie, "I Am Love" where she is dressed entirely in Jil Sander by Raf Simons and is set in fashionable Milan.
My collegue has seen the movie and says that it is terribly pretentious, but I would still like to see it, if only for Tilda and the beautiful clothes, oh and maybe the Italian men?..

Stella's Accordian Bag
What exactly do you put in this bag? A bird? Maybe Paris will start a new trend by carrying budgie's in her bag?
When looking for the price of this bag (£1, 335), Net-A-Porter shows that it does actually have a functional removal pouch, but why would you remove it?

Bike Love
Today is the beginning of a new me. Today I rode my bike to work and it took me half the time than public transportation! It is a little bit daunting riding in the busy streets of central London but I made it and in the end it was exhilarating! The only problem is that everyone wears those hideous bright yellow reflector jackets so that cars can see you a mile away. I was cringing at the thought that I would need to buy one, but then I found these adorable reflectors at Bobbin Bicycles, the coolest bike shop ever! You have to check out their website.

Le Petit Echo de la Mode
Spring
Dimanche 27 Mai 1928
Summer
Dimanche 9 Aout 1925
Fall
Dimanche 23 Septembre 1923
Winter
Dimanche 18 Janvier 1925
I was walking through Camden Passage yesterday (an adorable back passage near my flat which transforms into an antique market on Thursdays and Saturdays) and I found these vintage French weekly fashion newspapers from the 1920's. It took me almost an hour to decide on these four from different seasons and years. I love that you can see the clear difference with the hemlines, in winter (issued 1923) the hemline is ankle length and then in spring (issued 1928) the hemline is above the knee.
This newspaper was founded in 1880, you can see their transformation throughout the years on their website here.

Half of Punk is Dead
Malcolm Robert Andrews McLaren
22 January 1946 – 8 April 2010
The punk movement wouldn't have happened without duo Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, they started the famous Kings Road shop and Malcolm later become the manager of the Sex Pistols and New York Dolls. Rest in Peace Malcolm.

Scottish Weekend
I was off exploring the city of Edinburgh last weekend for my birthday, it was cold and I came back with the sniffles.
Edinburgh is beautiful and it was a fun city break, I went to a Tartan factory, drank whiskey, ate haggis and took the sleeper train back to London.
I will be back to regular posting this weekend.
