Remember my post about finding the perfect lace up boot? Well I have now found the ultimate cute lace up boot that I can actually walk in and would wear everyday! I am lusting over these leather boot clogs by Opening Ceremony that I saw this weekend.
Pricey though at £299 ($595). Do I give in??

Affordable Balmain?
Well, affordable as in, not a couple grand for something Balmain. I love diffusion lines of big designers becuase it gets me that little bit closer to owning a piece of luxury. Style.com said yesterday that a diffusion line is in the works and will be 40 to 50 percent cheaper than the main line!
Also, pictured above is the first Balmain sunglasses for Oliver Peoples Eyewear, only two styles will be sold, the first, Balmain I, to hit stores March at $595.

Summer Stripes!
I know it's a little early to think of summer when I am still knitting winter snoods but I just can't get enough striped tees! It seems like I have been accidentally collecting stripes all year desperately hunting for the perfect one. Then I walked into Zara, it seems they can't get enough of stripes either, the entire new collection is full of striped cotton dresses, blazers, tees with chains on the shoulders, red stripes, blue stripes...you get it.
Looks like all I had to do was wait a year to find them.
Update! My friend came into work today wearing a $29 Zara striped top with shoulder pads and dripping chains. What a great trend item to get all the looks in one for cheap!

Marni's SS10 campaign
Unique, beautiful, quirky and fun. All these words describe the clothing of Italian label Marni, so why would their ad campaigns be any different?
Even the most original luxury houses have the same cold ad campaigns using the "it" model or actress of the moment to communicate their brand image. An image that ends up looking the same as their competitors.
Thank you Marni for being ahead of the pack and always keeping things interesting. Watch this beautiful and quirky video of these little mice like critters in head to head Marni. This is why Marni has become a type of luxury cult brand.

Pheobe's back!
Pheobe Philo's Pre-Fall collection for Celine is what I have been craving. Covetable pieces that are fun and flirty with great styling and silhouettes.
This is what we have been missing since Pheobe left Chloe. I can't wait to see what she has in store for the full Fall Collection.
Side note: Does it feel like there are more and more seasons every year? What happened to just Spring and Fall plus maybe a Resort collection in between?

Another Margiela wannabe
This is another way of getting the Margiela look without spending a fortune. Luckily I found this watch without its face as is from the same man I bought the other watch from below. You could always break open a broken watch of yours and make your own!
Now, how am I going to tell the time?

+J launches Spring collection in Uniqlo today
Jil Sander's second season collaborating with Uniqlo after a well received Autumn collection launches today.
Uniqlo has been called the "Japanese Gap", with all the perfect basics you need in a large range of colours. Uniqlo is better for basics in quality and cut in my opinion.
Jil Sander's +j collection brings a more sophisticted element to the Uniqlo basic. I went to take a look today and I was hit with a sea of tan spring coats, simple, good quality tees and the cutest pair of skinny sweats I have ever seen.
Check the website for locations that stock +j or buy online.

Margiela-DIY
So, Christmas came and went and I didn't get what was on my wish list, but that's okay becuase I found a man in Camden Passage selling watch pieces. I bought this empty watch face for only £1 and put in on a chain! It is not the same but it will do.
