Ho hum, the January blues-New boots will cheer me up!

I haven't posted all month because, well, I just don't feel like it. I actually don't feel like doing anything but lounging on the couch and catching up with the Oscar nominated movies. I am also on a no shopping for myself but food budget this month. It is a test from by boyfriend to see if I can do it. I can't believe it is so difficult, I think I have a problem. But! The shopping detox is almost over and... these are what I will be buying come Feb 1. These leather zip front ankle boots from Topshop at £68 are my perfect move towards spring as I am coming off the chunky lace up boots we have all been wearing this winter. I need some simplicity in my life right now.
I already know what my March footwear and April footwear purchases will be but I will wait to reveal them next week.

Boot clogs now in Velvet!

When I was at the Micam Shoe Fair, I went to the designer hall and snuck a peak at the Opening Ceremony stand to see what was new. I couldn't take any photos but I saw that they had updated my clog boots from a couple posts back, which I ended up receiving them as a Valeversary pressie! (Valentine's day and Anniversary). I was not instantly in love with them as I am not a velvet fan. When I think of velvet, I remember an awful crinkled burgundy babydoll dress that I bought from Le Chateau back in the day.
Still, I have been looking for a photo of this boot to contemplate further and this morning Style.com's Style file blog posted it. And, well, I actually love them. I don't need the updated version but I will take a more serious view on velvet come Autumn.

Opening Ceremony boot clogs

Remember my post about finding the perfect lace up boot? Well I have now found the ultimate cute lace up boot that I can actually walk in and would wear everyday! I am lusting over these leather boot clogs by Opening Ceremony that I saw this weekend.
Pricey though at £299 ($595). Do I give in??

Lace up boots...Price Compare!

Ann Demeulemeester -£695

All Saints-£165

River Island -£74.99

This morning I wore my new River Island lace up purchase to work and a girl complemented me on my "All Saints" boots. I thought I would see how much money I saved from finding this high street gem so I did a little price comparison. I would say I did good!
